Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious college student to join our team as a Summer Intern at the Carolinas AAPI Business Alliance. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience while contributing to the growth and development of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) business community in the Carolinas region. The ideal candidate should possess a strong interest in business, community engagement, and a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of networking events, seminars, and workshops aimed at fostering connections among AAPI entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses.
- Conduct research, gather data, and assist in the development of reports and presentations on topics related to the AAPI business community, market trends, and best practices.
- Support the enhancement of the CABA website and management of the organization's social media platforms.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and engage potential sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to support the organization's mission and initiatives.
- Provide administrative support, including but not limited to data entry, scheduling meetings, and maintaining databases.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated interest in business, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
- Knowledge of the AAPI business landscape and cultural nuances is a plus but not required.
